Definitions
Club Shoots
Shoots planned and managed for the enjoyment of Members and Non-Member (guests), Shoots are not sanctioned by outside organizations and are under the direction of the Board through their Committee.
Law, Security and for profit Organizations
These are organizations whose primary purpose is peace keeping and security of goods, individual or premises as well as firearms/shooting organizations for profit. The organization plans and manages their requirements. Ranges are rented from Springfield Sports Club for their purposes.
Range Experience
Events planned and managed by a committee for individual groups to experience the sport of shooting. Primarily 22 rim fire and some centre fire pistol. Groups no larger than 20 people may be accommodated. Range Experience is under the direction of the Board through their committee.
Shooting Organizations
Shooting Organizations are Not for Profit organizations that require facilities to run events for their members and others. These organizations rent premises as required and provide their own planning and management.
Special Event
These are events that are planned and managed by a committee on the range or other facilities to promote the facility and or provide a special event for members and guests. All special events require a presentation to the Board of directors by the committee and permission to plan and manage the event. The special event is under the direction of the Board through their committee
Guest
There is a maximum of 2 individuals at a time per member with a maximum attendance on the range by a guest of twice per year, without prior approval of the board. This guest attendance maximum applies to club shoots and individual attendance with a member. Please see following guest attendance.
Guest Attendance at the Springfield Range
Members are encouraged to bring a guest to the Springfield Range and introduce them to the sport.
Members are responsible for their guest when at the facility and responsible to ensure the guest follows all posted policies (rules & regulations). If a guest is occupying a shooting position and a member wishes to use the position then the member has priority
A guest of a member is welcomed on the range twice in a calendar year and if additional attendance is requested, the club requests the guest to become a member unless consent is received from the Board of Directors prior to additional visits
At no time shall a member have more than two guests on the range at one time unless consent is received from the Board of Directors prior to additional visits. The member must act as the RSO for their guests on the range.
Children under 19 years of age residing with the member and grandchildren of a member under 19 years of age may attend as deemed by the member. The member must act as an RO for their children/grandchildren and at no time may the member supervise more than two guests at a time on the line.
Membership revoked or refused
· Individuals that have had their membership revoked or refused by the Board of directors may not attend any function at the Springfield facility or be a guest on the facility. Additionally these same individuals may not attend any Springfield or Training Academy or FRSA function at locations off the facility.
· All revoked memberships for members with ATT’s will be reported to the CFO.
