Equipment
1.    The proper use of eye and hearing protection is mandatory for all shooting activities at the FRSA Range.

Sporterized and cut down rifles are permitted. Only single shot or repeating action rifles may be used. Semi-autos are not permitted for these matches. Any iron sight is permitted including apertures. Optics will not be permitted for these matches. Any centre fire military cartridge calibre is permitted.

Shoot Format
VMSR matches are simple and leisurely in format and take place on Range 5 at the FRSA facility. Twenty (20) rounds are fired for score at a large bulls-eye target at 100 yards in twenty minutes. Optional: Two (2) warming shots are permitted at the same target. In such cases, the highest 20 holes will count for score.
